How to deal with a incompetent coworker

How do you approach a fellow funeral director who's lack of detail on everything from handling funerals to their embalming and cosmetizing jobs. Myself and another coworker are always fixing issues..some major. Boss knows but won't do anything to fix the problem. Frustrated with checking their work constantly besides doing my own work.

I feel for you. I've been in varying situations similar to this. Sometimes I didn't fix the problems and allowed the irresponsible party to face the noise. I'd look for times when it's obvious that your co-worker has failed. When it's obvious (especially to your boss, and everyone else) that it's your co-worker's fault, don't fix it. If you boss starts feeling the heat, she/he is bound to make a change. Bottomline: when you can, let your coworker be the adult that they are, and allow them to fail. Keep doing your roles to the best of your ability and make sure YOUR work is always exceptional.

Family doing the make up?

A distant relative died and her cousin did her makeup. I was shocked that the funeral director allowed it. In our state, you have to be licensed to even touch the body, much less do makeup.

I'm not aware of every state

I'm not aware of every state's rules and regs, but our rule at our funeral home has always been "if the family allows it, we allow it". Obviously, this is all within reason as an unlicensed embalmer can't embalm even if the "family allows it". But, aside from embalming, most everything else is on the table for the family. Makeup, casketing, hair ... some local cemeteries (some of the local Mennonite cemeteries) will even allow families to dig and fill their own graves.

If you're working in an organization and your feet that the worker is not good in the service and you feel him that he or she is incompetent, then the first step is to make a big bridge of communication with him. You can also choose all the tasks from the http://www.thesuperiorpapers.org/research-paper/
for his personal development.

It is the same thing that I am using upon my incompetent coworker that is causing me problem every time. The rules and working criteria should be same for every incompetent coworker.

AOL is a free webmail service and it is a division of Verizon Communications. www.aol.com is famous for its Web portal, dial-up service and finally for its web browsing feature.

Three Rules

One. No proselytizing: Religious belief, spirituality and nonbelief are sacred.  because they are sacred, we respect them.  Because they are sacred we don't push them on others.

Two. No Advertising: DEATHub is a space where we can talk about personal stories, personal feelings and ideas.  Those stories, feelings and ideas won't be exploited for personal or corporate gain.

Three. No Assholes: DEATHub only works if we are understanding and empathetic in our posts, comments, and when we're incidentally offended by another.  We are a group that is full of good people, who have deep and sensitive stories.  This is a place for those stories.
